NATIONAL #PLAYCATCH WEEK | JUNE 21-27

OTTAWA – Grab a glove, grab a ball, grab a catch partner for National Play Catch Week!

It could be any ball, or object that can be thrown for that matter, but from June 21-27 all that matters is is getting back to the roots of our game and playing catch.

“The primary goal is to get more people out playing catch,” explained explained Rawlings Canada’s Jason Shipley in an interview with the Canadian Baseball Network. “We’re also encouraging those playing catch to film a short video or take a photo and post it on social media using the hashtag #PLAYCATCH.”

Rawlings Canada, a proud partner of Baseball Canada, through Shipley are spearheading the efforts of National Play Catch Week to include as many different organizations and people to take part by playing catch and posting a video or photo on social media using the #PLAYCATCH hashtag.

“The primary goal is to get more people out playing catch,” he explained. “We’re also encouraging those playing catch to film a short video or take a photo and post it on social media using the hashtag #PLAYCATCH.

“Any age, any size, any skill level, any race, any colour, it doesn’t matter, everyone can play catch.”
