2009 National Championships: Canada Cup under way

OTTAWA – The 2009 Baseball Canada National Championships got under way today with the Baseball Canada Cup in Kindersley, Saskatchewan with a Pool A matchup between Québec and New Brunswick.

Due to some technical difficulties with the scoring program for these championships, no details are available as of yet concerning box scores or game summaries. However, we can report that Québec defeated New Brunswick by a score of 10-0.

In other games reported so far today, British Columbia made a late comeback to defeat defending champions Ontario 2-1. And in Pool B action, Alberta trounced Nova Scotia 13-6, and Prince Edward Island beat Newfoundland 7-1.
