OTTAWA – The 2022 Women’s Invitational Championship is heading back to its original destination of Stonewall, Manitoba and will be played from July 21 -24 featuring the top female baseball talent in the country.
With the Town of Stonewall notifying Baseball Canada that they would be unable to host the event back in the fall a move was made to haver the tournament played in Winnipeg. A date change to the latter part of July has reopened the door for Stonewall to host.
Stonewall is no stranger to hosting Baseball Canada National Championship events having hosted the Baseball Canada Cup on three occasions in the late 90’s while recently putting on successful editions of the 21U Women’s Invitational in both 2017 and 2018.
The 2022 Baseball Canada National Championships calendar will be one to look forward to for many across the country with all championship events in 2020 and 2021 cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
