OTTAWA- Baseball Canada’s 50 for 50 contest, to determine the top moment in the organization’s 50 year history, is now down to six moments/stories after Canada wins gold at 1991 World Youth Championship emerged from the first group of five semi-finalists.
Beginning Monday, July 21st at Noon EST, the second semi-final will begin to determine who will face Canada wins gold at 1991 World Youth Championship in a head-to-head match-up that will decide the top moment in Baseball Canada’s history.
The five choices include:
-Canada wins bronze at 1999 Pan Am Games
- Loewen/Francis taken in Top 10 in 2002 MLB Draft
- Canada wins 2011 Pan Am Games gold medal
-BC’s dominance at Baseball Canada Cup-20 medals in 24 years
- Canada qualifies for 2004 Athens Olympics
Note: Voting for semi-final #2 will take place on baseball.ca from Monday, July 21st at Noon EST until Friday, July 25th at 10am EST.
