Greetingsfrom Kindersley, Sask. proud home of the 2009 Baseball Canada Cup Championship! Plans are well on their way to ensure this year’s championship will be a great one.

Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in Kindersley will be a enjoyable one.

TEAMS: (Players, Coaches and Team Officials)

Teams must arrive in Kindersley by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 4, 2009

Players and Coaches are asked to attend a welcome banquet at the West Centre Events Centre starting at 6:00 p.m. (Complimentary for Players, Coaches & Manager). Teams are encouraged to wear team attire.

Accommodations:

For coaches and players (24 people per team) are as follows:

All players and coaches will be accommodated at one of three hotels/motels in Kindersley. Accommodation will be provided from Tuesday, August 4, 2009 until Tuesday, August 11, 2009 (7 nights).  Should teams wish to arrive earlier or stay longer it will be at their own expense.

Transportation:

For Teams and Umpires is as follows: 

All teams and umpires who are flying to Saskatchewan are asked to fly to Saskatoon, Sask. Plans will be made to ensure teams are picked up at the Saskatoon Airport on their arrival and will be returned prior to their departure.

In addition, transportation arrangements have been made for the umpires for travel to and from their motel to the ball diamonds prior to their assigned games. Teams who are housed in a couple of the motels (will involve 3 teams) will be bused to and from the ball diamonds for their games.

All games will be played at the Berard Field & Flanagan Field. (Berard has lighting). The park seats 2300 people and has many washrooms, food services.  Practice fields are available and bookings can be made on a first come first served basis through Robin Bowden @ grbowden@sasktel.net

MEETINGS:

The Pre-Championship Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4 starting at 8:30pm at West Centre Events Centre. Each team is permitted only to send two (2) reps per team and their provincial representative.

UMPIRES: Umpires should arrive in Kindersley by 4:00 p.m. on August 4, 2009

Umpires are asked to be at West Central Events Center to attend a welcome banquet @ 6:00 p.m. on August 4. Umpires will receive a Meal Per Diem from the Host Committee upon arrival at the championship.

Accommodations for Umpires

Arrangements for rooms are at the Nova Inn. There will be two umpires per room. Accommodations are available and paid by the host committee from August 4 to August 11. (Inclusive). Individual umpires must arrange and cover costs for earlier arrival and later departures.

Closing Ceremonies

Will be held at Berard Field after the final game.

Game Tickets prices are as follows: Day Pass $10.00 or Week Pass $40.00 are now on sale. Out of town guests can pick tickets up at the gate.
