Greetings from the 2024 Baseball Canada Ray Carter Cup Host Committee! 

 

We are pleased to welcome you to Laval this summer! Plans are well on their way to ensure this year’s championship will be a great one. Please take the appropriate time to review the outline details regarding our championship so that your experience in Laval will be an enjoyable one. Once again, we are very pleased to be your hosts for this year’s 2024 Baseball Canada Ray Carter Cup! 

 

Team/Player Information

Arrival: August 21, at 3:00 p.m. 

Pre-Tournament Meeting – August 21, at 6:00 p.m., at Sheraton Hotel in Laval

Welcome Event – August 21, at 7:30 p.m., at Sheraton Hotel in Laval

Team Photos – Schedule to be determined with teams upon arrival. 

 

Opening and Closing Ceremonies 

Opening Ceremonies will take place on August 22, at 7:30 p.m. – Paul-Marcel-Maheu park (in Laval)

Closing Ceremonies will take place on August 25, at 9:00 p.m. – Paul-Marcel-Maheu park (in Laval), following the Gold Medal Game

A welcoming reception will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Laval for all teams, starting at 7:30 on Wednesday night, August 21.  Transport will be provided to the venue to all teams registered for transport during the event.  Please note that no food will be served during the event.  Plan for an evening meal before your arrival.

Transportation  

Transportation will be provided from the airport to the host hotel (Sheraton). Game day shuttles for players, coaches, and team personnel will be provided to and from the venue before and after games. If teams plan on using their own bus or other form of transport, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. 
 

Accommodations  

 Accommodations are pre-booked at Sheraton Hotel Laval for all teams. All arranged accommodations are available from your arrival on August 21 to your departure on August 27.  

You must confirm the rooming of all players, coaches and chef de mission no later than Tuesday August 6th 2024.  To confirm your rooming, send an email including all names (max 22) and room assignments (who goes in room 1, room 2, …) for all 7 pre-booked rooms to the following email : raycartercup2024@gmail.com.  The Host Committee will confirm directly with the hotel.

Each team/federation is responsible for room confirmation with the host.  

Note : Breakfast not included with reservation.  Therefore, breakfast will be offered to team members by the Sheraton for a daily price of 16$+taxes/person.  The Chef de mission must confirm the number of meals with the hotel the day before to guarantee availability. 

If you need to arrive earlier than the 21st or depart later than the 27th, you have to arrange additional booking directly with the Sheraton at the following number : 450-687-2440 or 1-800-667-2440 and mention “Ray Carter Cup 2024” to get the negotiated rates. There is no guarantee from the host or the hotel on room availability outside the pre-booked date range.  

For visitors, we’ve arranged a guaranteed rate per room (double occupancy) with the Sheraton and Hilton hotels in Laval.  You have to arrange booking directly with the Sheraton at the following number : 450-687-2440 or 1-800-667-2440 and mention “Ray Carter Cup 2024” to get the negotiated rates. 

There is no guarantee from the host or the hotel on room availability for visitors.

Arrival – August 21, at 4:00 p.m. 

Umpire Meeting – August 21, 5:00 p.m. at Sheraton Hotel Laval 

Transportation  

Transportation has been arranged from and to the airport and during the championship for all umpires and supervisors.

Umpires have been assigned to the Sheraton Hotel Laval. All arranged accommodations are available from your arrival on August 21 to your departure on August 27.

Family Pass (2 Adults + 2 Children 10 and over) for all games including medal rounds : 75$

Championship Pass (per person) for all games including medal rounds : 35$

Day Pass (per person) for all games of the day : 15$

Game Pass (per person) for a single game : 10$

Children under 10 access for free.
