Peewee Western (Nanaimo, BC)

BC1 Abbotsford- 7 AB1 Sherwood Park-5

Abbotsford scored four times in the bottom of the sixth to come from behind and beat Sherwood Park 7-5. Markus Gregson (Surrey, BC) and Aiden Mordecai (Surrey, BC) each homered as part of a three-run fifth for Abbotsford. Both players were part of four pitchers that Abbotsford used during the game. Jakob Brinkhof (St. Albert, AB) struck out four in the loss.

MB2 Winnipeg South-11 SK2 Saskatoon Blue Jays-8

Winnipeg South held off a late surge from the Saskatoon Blue Jays to win 11-8 in a game where they were outhit eighteen to eight. Jared Spearing (Winnipeg, MB0 had two hits and two RBI’s for Winnipeg South while Saskatoon’s Kalen Senecal (Melfort, SK) went 4-for-5 with three RBI’s.

Nanaimo-10 SK1 Saskatoon Braves-5

 

Nanaimo continued its offensive surge with a 10-5 win over the Saskatoon Braves. Samuel Vavila (Kamloops, BC) led the way going 4-for-4, including a double and one RBI while Lenn Nakatsuka (Nanaimo, BC) collected three hits and three RBI’s. Jordan Malainey (Saskatoon, SK) had two singles and one RBI for Saskatoon.

MB1 Midwest-9 AB2 Red Deer-6

Midwest scored three runs in the fifth and another two in the sixth to earn a 9-6 comeback win over Red Deer. Jayden Bergen (Altona, MB) had a single, one RBI and scored a run in the fifth as part of a 3-for-4 day at the plate. Noah Lemoine (St. Lazare, MB) was given the win after throwing four innings on the mound and Chad Kilimnik (Russell, MB) hit a two-run homer.

AB1 Sherwood Park-7 SK2 Saskatoon Blue Jays-6

Sherwood Park scored three times in the bottom of the sixth en route to a 7-6 win over the Saskatoon Blue Jays. Winning pitcher Darrin Reay (Sherwood Park, AB) threw three innings and allowed only one run on two hits and a walk while fanning one batter.

SK1 Saskatoon Braves-10 MB1 Midwest-6

Saskatoon had thirteen hits, including a three-run homer from Jonathon Duff (Regina, SK), to beat Midwest 10-6. Cale Kindrachuk (Saskatoon, SK) enjoyed a 4-for-4 day that saw him double and score two runs.

Other scores included Nanaimo blanking Red Deer 14-0 and Abbotsford proving too much for Winnipeg South with a 12-1 victory.
