Victoria Wildcats Gearing Up for Pee Wee AAA National Championship

The Pee Wee AAA Wildcats, under the coaching of Gautam Srivastava and Steve Bailey, have had an excellent summer leading into the Baseball Canada National Pee Wee Championship to be held in Victoria August 24 - 27. The Wildcats' season started with a 2 and 2 record at the Ridge Meadows tournament on the July 1st long weekend and then a third place finish at the Valley of Champions tournament in Kelowna two weeks later. Since then, the team has been playing well posting wins over teams from the Lower Mainland, Vancouver, Nanaimo, and most recently an all star team from Bainbridge Island, near Seattle. The Wildcats are deep in pitching with contributions from throughout the lineup. Their bats have been hot with an overall team batting of .350 average. Look out Canada, the Wildcats are ready to roar at the Nationals! As the host team, the Wildcats will be wearing the uniforms of Team Victoria at the Championship.
