Stonewall Community Profile

The Town of Stonewall is located along Provincial Trunk Highway 67 with a population of 4,536 (Census,2011).  Stonewall is just 25 kilometers north of Manitoba's capital city.

Baseball action will take place at Stonewall Quarry Park, an 80 acre multi use park located at the north end of Main Street. The park provides a natural area, swimming and picnic facilities, camping and walking trails. Quarry Park also displays the many aspects of limestone production and the history of the quarry is documented through a museum and interpretive program.

Fines Field is a 9-diamond baseball facility located in Stonewall Quarry Park and has hosted national and international Championships.

The town has many restaurant where teams can catch a bite between games and the beautiful park also allows for rest and relaxation,

Selkirk Community Profile

It has a population of 9,834 (Census, 2011) and has a lift bridge over the Red River that connects Selkirk with the smaller town of East Selkirk.

It is home to one of  Baseball Canada’s major sponsors – Dairy Queen as well as two hotels and a camp ground.

Selkirk and Stonewall are 29 minutes apart (34 kilometers) of highway driving so there will be no anticipated delays to go from the accommodations venue to ball diamonds. The hotel is located on the outer perimeter of the town for easy and fast access to the highway. Selkirk has several restaurants and across from the hotel are Boston Pizza, Tim Horton, Subway and a Walmart Super Centre.
