About the Host City

A promising second edition!

The Baseball Canada 13U National Championship is an opportunity to meet the best up-and-coming players in Canada and attend heart-stopping games!

More than one hundred athletes from all over Canada will meet and offer exceptional performances that are sure to thrill spectators.

For two years now, the citizens of Repentigny have reserved a special place in their hearts for this tournament. It is truly a privilege for our beautiful city to welcome so many talented young people.

I would like to sincerely thank all of the people who make this important event a success. Thank you to the organizers, the coaches and the wonderful team of volunteers. Without their involvement, which I greatly admire, we wouldn’t be able to attend such a competitive sporting event and appreciate the dynamism of this great group of young athletes.

I invite you to join us at this very special event which will take place at Parc Laverdière from August 24 to 28.

Welcome to one and all!

Chantal Deschamps, Ph. D.
Mayor of Repentigny

Repentigny is the 13th largest city in Quebec and 5th within the Communauté Métropolitaine de Montréal. It is also second in the greater Lanaudière area and first in the L’Assomption RCM. Named city of joy because of its excellent quality of life and municipal services, Repentigny is home to 84,258 inhabitants and covers an area of 70.25 square kilometres. It is located off the eastern tip of the Island of Montréal and connected to the latter via the Le Gardeur and Benjamin-Moreau bridges.

Extremely well situated, the city of Repentigny features a highly accessible network of roads that helps the local population and visitors get wherever they want to go. With major road junctions (40 and 640) connecting to large city centres like Montréal and Québec, Repentigny is well located geographically. The pending arrival of the Train de l’Est in Repentigny will only improve the city’s accessibility.

Repentigny sits on the banks of the St. Lawrence River and boasts a high number of parks and green spaces. The city is also host to an extensive line-up of activities, festivals, and events throughout the year. In fact, Repentigny will soon be getting a brand-new entertainment building, which will further enhance its cultural life. Its industrial parks, commercial centres, and network of business people also help drive the city’s economic life.
