OTTAWA- To help celebrate our 50th Anniversary, Baseball Canada is excited to announce the ’50 for 50’ contest to identify the top moment in the history of the organization.
Beginning today and lasting until April 30th, 50 for 50 entries can be submitted via email to media@baseball.ca for consideration.
Once all entries are received, the Top 50 will be selected and randomly placed into ten groups of five. Voting will then take place on baseball.ca where the public will have their say in determining ten semi-finalists. The ten semi-finalists will then be placed into two groups of five to determine two finalists who will go head-to-head to determine the top moment in the 50 year history of Baseball Canada.
To submit an entry you must describe the event or moment in 200 words or less and include a photo to go along with the description.
Any event/moment within the past 50 years is eligible for the contest whether it occurred on the baseball field or not. The only stipulation is the moment must have involved or impacted Baseball Canada in some shape or form.
Voting will take place during June and July with the winner of the contest to be revealed during the Baseball Canada Cup in Saskatoon, SK scheduled for August 6-11.
We look forward to receiving some great entries!
