NIAGARA – History was made at the Canada Games yesterday when Newfoundland and Labrador’s Jaida lee became the first woman ever to participate in a Canada Games baseball competition.
The 16-year-old from St. John’s threw one and one-third of an inning against Alberta where she retired the side in order in the fourth inning before allowing five runs on four hits and a walk in the fifth.
With the historic outing, the social media world took notice as Lee has quickly become a household name through the first two days of competition!
