OTTAWA- Baseball Canada is pleased to announce that 13 communities from the province of Manitoba have met the criteria of the Reaching Baseball Ideals program and are now RBI Approved.
With this significant increase, Baseball Manitoba sits atop the RBI Approved ‘leader board’ with 18 programs having achieved the designation in the province.
All 13 communities fall under the Carillon Minor Baseball Association umbrella where Mr. Louis Cote serves as President
“We are fortunate to have a quality person like Louis Cote involved in baseball in our Province,” said Jason Miller, Program Director with Baseball Manitoba. “The players and families should be very content with the baseball programming they are getting in Carillon.”
Baseball Canada’s RBI program (Reaching Baseball Ideals) gives associations across the country the opportunity to apply common core criteria to ensure that consistent good practice is in place when running a minor baseball organization.
Each of the communities achieved their RBI Approved status by applying the minimum operating standards in development programs, membership with Baseball Canada, Coach Training, Accessibility and Pitching Safety.
With a dedicated volunteer base positioned in each community, the 13 minor baseball associations have shown a commitment to delivering quality baseball programs to families in their area.
“They have a unified group of volunteers who are all working toward a common goal, and that is grassroots player and coach development,” added Miller. “We are proud to have this large group of communities receive the honour of being RBI Approved.”
