2025 Baseball Canada Men's 22U Championships

Dartmouth/Halifax NS – August 6th to 10th

Greetings from the 2025 Baseball Canada Men’s 22U Championship Organizing Board!

 

We are pleased to welcome you to Dartmouth this summer! Plans are well on their way to ensure this year’s championshipwill be great one. Please take the appropriate time to review the outlined details regarding our championship so that yourexperience in Dartmouth will be an enjoyable one. Once again, we are very pleased to be your hosts for this year’sBaseball Canada Men’s 22U Championships!

 

Team/Player Information Arrival: Wednesday, August 6th by 4:00 pm

Welcome Event – Opening Social - Wednesday, August 6th, 6 PM, Beazley Field

Pre-Tournament Meeting – Wednesday, August 6th, 8 PM, TBD

Team Photos – Thursday, August 7th to be arranged with each team by Coordinator of Photography

Opening and Closing Ceremonies

Opening Ceremonies will take place on Thursday August 7th, 6 PM at Beazley Field, Dartmouth

Closing Ceremonies will take place on Sunday, August 10th at Beazley Field following the Gold Medal Game. This is not a mandatory event.

Transportation

For those teams planning on using their own bus or vehicles, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. For those teams planning to utilize the host transportation: transportation will be provided from the airport to the hosthotel, and game day shuttles for players, coaches, and team personnel will be provided to and from the venue before andafter games.

Accommodations

Room blocks at hotels are set aside by the host however teams/provincial offices are responsible for managing their respective hotel blocks. If you are unsure of your hotel situation, it is recommended to reach out to your provincial baseball association as they have been in contact with the hosts and/or Baseball Canada to block rooms.

The host committee has worked to provide various options of accommodations for the event. 

 

 

Dalhousie University offers one bed, two beds or 3 beds units at affordable rates averaging to $74 per person including applicable taxes.  As of March 9, 2025 the rooms which are air conditioned have been sold to. Contact is Natallie Gibbs at Natalie.Gibbs@dal.ca. There is a 24/7 cafeteria in operation and there are food options within walking distance. 

Hampton Inn and Suites in Dartmouth Crossing is offering a limited number of rooms with 2 double beds (In some cases, the 2nd bed is a pullout) for a rate varying between $209 and $249 per nights plus 14 % HST and 3% marketing levy assessment per night per room. Contact is Tina Griggs at Christina.Griggs@hilton.com or 902-406-7703. There is a snack bar deli on site however there are many restaurants and fast-food outlets nearby.

Mount Saint Vincent is offering one bed, two bed or 3 bed rooms at a flat rate of $55 per person plus HST and marketing levy assessment. The rooms are not air conditioned. Contact is Patricia Drake at Patricia.Drake@msvu.ca. Meals can be arranged upon request.   

Practice Opportunities

There are limited options for practice as both fields for the championships are not operational as they are being groomed for the championship. There are 22U size fields that may be available but will require travel from an accommodation site. It is recommended that teams discuss their request with the Director Host Services to determine which might be best. Halifax Parks and Recreation requires that a field permit be obtained prior to using any of their fields. Live Streaming

High Button Sports have been contracted to provide live streaming at both fields. There will be a small fee per game. The fee amount and the link to the service area will be provided at a later date.

Transportation 

Transportation has been arranged to and from the airport and during the championship for all umpires.

All arranged accommodations are available from your arrival on Wednesday, August 6th to your departure on Tuesday, August 12th. The rooming list will be determined by the Umpire Supervisor.

Tickets

Tickets will be available for purchase at the entrance to each field prior to each game. The admission fee is $5.00 per game and youth 15 and under are admitted free. There are no tournament passes available.
