VENUE: Shell Place

In 2015, the iconic Shell Place experience began and changed the sport and entertainment landscape in Fort McMurray and Northern Alberta forever. Shell Place boasts an MLB standard baseball stadium, major outdoor field and events venue known as SMS Equipment Stadium, 4 softball diamonds, social profit shared space, community pavilion, turf field house, badminton centre, and the Total Interpretive Walking Trail. Designed to be the home of excellence in regional sport, the new Baseball/Softball Tournament Centre is comprised of a 2,300 seat baseball stadium with 4 adjacent softball fields. The Tournament Centre has a capacity of holding 5,500 fans with the additional berm, corporate suites, and party zone areas. This ballpark is built to MLB standards and features large, in ground, covered dugouts, bullpens, large home and away dressing rooms along with three auxiliary team rooms and two smaller auxiliary rooms. They are all equipped with private showers and washroom facilities. The dugouts also have direct, private access to the dressing rooms. In addition, the field features artificial turf both infield and outfield with a centre field distance of 393’.

VENUE: Ross Hennigar Park

Having recently undergone redevelopment, Ross Hennigar Park boasts new infield artificial turf and grass outfield, new scoreboard, permanent washroom facilities, P.A. system, and new fencing. This ball park is 365’ to centre field and currently has permanent spectator viewing for 300. In addition, this ball park has fully functional bullpens surrounded by 8’ fence.
