Baseball Canada announces Rally Cap national prize winner

OTTAWA- Baseball Canada is pleased to announce that the winner of the Rally Cap national prize is Dawson from Winnipeg, MB. Dawson was randomly selected out of numerous submissions from the Rally Cap Player of the Week draw. Baseball Canada received submissions from Rally Cap participants all over Canada throughout the summer.

Dawson’s prize will be a trip to Toronto including transportation for 2 people, 1 night accommodation, 2 tickets for 2 Blue Jays games and 2 official Baseball Canada hats. Dawson will be joined by his family in Toronto and is really looking forward to the experience.

"I'm very excited!” exclaimed an enthusiastic Dawson after receiving news that he had won the national prize. “I’m more excited than Christmas!”

Six year-old Dawson just finished his second year in the Rally Cap program as part of the Carman Minor Baseball Association where he plays for the Blue Jays! He says his favourite part of playing baseball is hitting and he also enjoys being part of a team.

“His favourite position is catcher, just like his older sister, Bailey” said mother Robyn.

Baseball Canada would like to congratulate Dawson and wish him and his family a safe and enjoyable trip to Toronto!
