Altona, Chatham chosen as hosts

OTTAWA-National Championship hosts were decided for two events over the weekend at Baseball Canada’s annual Fall Convention held in Halifax.

The Senior Men National Championship will return to Chatham, New Brunswick in 2015 after they last hosted the event in 2011. In 2014, the event will take place in St. John’s, Newfoundland after being held in Windsor, Ontario last summer.

Altona, Manitoba was named as host of the 13U National Western for 2014 taking over from Spruce Grove, Alberta who hosted in 2013.

The 2014 National Championship season will begin with the Baseball Canada Cup August 6-11 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and wrap-up with the 13U National Atlantic Championship September 4-8 on Prince Edward Island.

Some 2015 National Championships are still looking for hosts.
