OTTAWA – Baseball Canada is thrilled to announce to its membership and the larger Canadian baseball community, a Strategic Plan for 2023-2028 that will chart a path towards making Canada a “Leading Baseball Nation”.
This ambitious plan, that will shape the organization over a five-year period, was the culmination of months of work that included consultation with key stakeholders including board and staff members, PTSOs (Provincial and Territorial Staff Offices), athletes, coaches and officials.
Led by a Strategic Planning Working Group composed of staff and volunteers and the sport consultancy firm LBB STRATEGIES, Baseball Canada now has a plan in place that the entire Canadian baseball community will benefit from spanning grassroots to high performance.
“It is with much excitement and anticipation that we reveal our Strategic Plan 2023-2028 and lead not only Baseball Canada, but all Canadian baseball communities into the future of our sport,” said Baseball Canada CEO Jason Dickson. “A strategic planning process is a challenging one that forces organizations to reflect, learn and chart a course for the future.
“I am confident that this plan will take baseball in Canada to a new level with a focus on diversifying our decision making process and incorporating a modern governance structure, with people and communities a top priority.”
Baseball Canada’s new Strategic Plan is based on three strategic pillars and commitments:
GROWTH
DEVELOPMENT & PERFORMANCE
ORGANIZATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Baseball Canada encourages its membership and those with a vested interest in Canadian baseball to read through the plan and use as a reference material within your own communities.
