Rain forces doubleheader on Thursday

Chitre, Panama-Heavy rain caused the cancellation of three second round games on Wednesday at the 39th IBAF World Cup, including the scheduled Canada/South Korea match-up. A game between Australia and Netherlands reached the seventh inning but was suspended when heavy rain hit the Santiago area.

Canada will play a doubleheader on Thursday with the first game at 11am CT against Venezuela and the second game following at 3:30pm CT against South Korea. Both games will be played at Remon Cantera Stadium in Aguadulce.

Canada will wrap-up their round two schedule on Friday when they play host to Cuba (3:30pm CT) at Rod Carew Stadium in Panama City.

All remaining games in round two will be seven inning affairs.

Canada’s record in round two currently sits at two wins and two losses (2-2).
