OTTAWA – Baseball Canada is pleased to announce the names of 43 athletes selected to participate in Women’s National Team (WNT) Winter Meetings that will take place virtually over the coming months.
Athletes were identified following evaluations from Baseball Canada’s Women’s Championships in 2024 along with consultation from provincial coaches, while previous performance and national team participation were also considerations.
The winter meetings will kickstart a new cycle for the Women’s National Team program after a bronze medal performance earlier this year at the IX World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Women’s Baseball World Cup Finals in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
The international calendar is scheduled to reset in 2025 with a WBSC Americas continental qualifier. Details for the event are yet to be announced.
Note: Selection to the Women’s National Team Winter Meetings roster does not guarantee an invite to Women’s National Team in-person activities. Eligible athletes from both inside and outside the Winter Meetings Roster will be considered prior to these events.
