National Team alum Scott Mathieson (Aldergrove, BC) has had a roller coaster career since the Philadelphia Phillies made him a 17th round selection back in 2002. After reaching the big-leagues as a 22 year-old in 2006, Mathieson underwent his first of three surgeries in 2007 that saw him miss the entire 2008 season.

OTTAWA-After upsetting the United States 2-1 to win the gold medal at last year’s Pan Am Games in Mexico and claiming the bronze medal at the IBAF World Cup in Panama, the Senior National Team will receive the ultimate honour on Saturday as they will be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys, Ontario.
