OTTAWA – Samantha Magalas has done it all in baseball circles. The Burlington, Ontario native has been a member of the Women’s National Team since the beginning in 2004. She has earned three World Cup medals (silver and two bronze) and will be looking to complete the collection with gold at the upcoming 2010 Women’s Baseball World Cup.

TORONTO – It’s down to the final quarter, Carey Ashton from Montreal, Québec, is close to winning Canada’s Most Valuable Coach if he can drum up enough public support to take the title.  Chosen from 878 coaches nominated from across Canada, Carey is one of six finalist coaches from the ranks of amateur, competitive and community sport to be nominated for Chunky MVC: Most Valuable Coach.
