OTTAWA- The number of RBI Approved (Reaching Baseball Ideals) baseball associations in Canada continues to rise as Grand Prairie Minor Baseball in Alberta became the latest association to achieve the designation by Baseball Canada.

TORONTO- Baseball Canada elected its new executive and board of directors at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this weekend in Toronto. The AGM brought together representation from each of Baseball Canada’s 10 member Provinces to discuss the growth and development of amateur baseball in Canada.
OTTAWA-The Women’s National Team wrapped up the Triangle Series in Cuba by blanking Venezuela 2-0 earlier today. Canada had defeated Cuba 11-5 on Tuesday and 10-7 on Wednesday to finish the Triangle Series with a 5-1 record.

OTTAWA-The MLB First-Year Player Draft concluded today with rounds sixteen through forty taking place where 17 Canadians were selected bringing the total number of Canadians selected for the three-day event to 26.
