BOCA CHICA, DR – Two big innings were what did in the Junior National Team as they scratched and clawed to keep the game close, but it would not be enough as the Cleveland Indians were able to escape with a 7-6 win.
SAN PEDRO de MACORIS, DR – Due to the inclement weather of the last few days in the Dominican Republic, the Junior National Team scheduled a 12-inning game with the Kansas City Royals and were neck-and-neck the entire way, but succumbing by a score of 3-2.

VILLA MELLA, DR – Rain once again wreaked havoc on the Junior National Team’s schedule in the Dominican Republic, but they were able to get two games in against a local academy team and split the twin bill with a 6-3 loss in game one and a 6-2 win in game two.
BOCA CHICA, DR – Inclement weather was a major factor in the opening contest of the Dominican Summer Tour. The Junior National Team were able to get six innings in the books before having to shut down and as a result were on the short end of a 4-3 game with the Texas Rangers.

OTTAWA – Baseball Canada has announced the Junior National Team roster it will field for the annual Dominican Summer League Camp which will take place from May 20th – 29th in the Dominican Republic.
OTTAWA – The 2009 edition of the Baseball Canada Junior Championship will be a particularly special event for the city of Trois-Rivières. Not only does it mark the 25th anniversary of the first Junior championship held in the city, but it will also be part of the festivities for the 375th anniversary of the city itself.
