OSHAWA – Durham College is getting ready to welcome some of the top baseball talent in the country as the 2009 Canadian Intercollegiate Baseball Association (CIBA) National Championship will be taking place in Oshawa, Ontario from October 23-25, 2009.

BOCA CHICA, DR – The Junior National Team ended their whirlwind tour of the Dominican Republic with a 11-2 beating at the hands of the New York Yankees, then quickly recovered to earn a 3-3 tie with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

BOCA CHICA, DR – Everything clicked for the Junior National Team on this day. The offence was able to capitalize on their chances and the pitching was precise and some late inning insurance helped the JNT get the win over the Toronto Blue Jays 6-2 in Dominican Summer League action.

BOCA CHICA, DR – The Junior National Team had a strong showing in both games on Tuesday. A one inning outburst was all the Philadelphia Phillies needed in a 3-1 win in game one. And in a back and forth battle, after nine innings nothing was decided and the game ended in a 4-4 tie against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
