Baseball Canada has been closely monitoring all available information related to the continued spread of COVID-19. After reviewing the relevant positions from the Public Health Agency of Canada, Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, and the Government of Canada, Baseball Canada has decided to postpone all its upcoming in person events until March 27, 2020 with intent to provide our membership with weekly updates on the situation. OTTAWA – The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced earlier today that the Baseball Americas Olympic Qualifier scheduled for March 22-26 in Surprise and Tempe, Arizona has been postponed due to player, personnel and spectator health and safety measures to counter the spread of the coronavirus.
