OTTAWA- Baseball Canada is pleased to announce the names of 32 athletes that have been invited to the Junior National Team’s (U18) annual Spring Training Camp at Baseball City in St. Petersburg, Florida from March 6-14.
OTTAWA- Baseball Canada would like to extend congratulations to Jim Baba, Trevor Grieve and Shari Reiniger upon learning that they’ve been selected as officials by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) for the baseball competition at the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in Tokyo, Japan from July 24 to August 9.
OTTAWA –Maple Ridge, British Columbia’s Larry Walker will be officially inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York on July 26th, 2020 it was announced this evening after the 17-year Major League Baseball veteran achieved 76.6% of the voting ballot to earn the minimum 75% required to be elected.
OTTAWA- Burlington, Ontario’s Lisa Turbitt is set to make history in March when she will become the first female umpire to work a World Baseball Classic event as she’s been selected for the World Baseball Classic Qualifier in March.
