OTTAWA- Tom Robson (Ladner, BC) became the first Canadian selected in the 2011 MLB Draft when the Toronto Blue Jays took him in the 4th round.
OTTAWA- Day 3 of the MLB Draft saw 18 Canadians selected by various Major League clubs bringing the total to 35 Canadians drafted during the three day event.

OTTAWA-Baseball Canada is pleased to announce that Baseball Regina has fulfilled all of the elements of the RBI Program (Reaching Baseball Ideals) and is now RBI Approved. Baseball Regina becomes the 13th association to achieve the designation in Canada and also the 6th association in Saskatchewan to do so.
